This monoprint was produced from one of my own photos of silver birch trees in spring, at Bentley Woods in Suffolk.
 
The method of a drypoint etching monoprint involves making scratches into a printing plate with an etching tool, the plate is then inked and wiped so that the ink goes into the etched lines on the plate.  Ink is then applied to the surface in an experimental manner, creating a unique print.
